Jeff Price is a teacher who never stops giving. He teaches a complicated middle school math class that engages students and prepares them for success in higher level math through his clear teaching and constant willingness to help, whether that’s providing his private cell number to parents or assisting students before or after school or during his free period. He’s always in good spirits and encourages students in ways that motivate them to succeed. He is also the middle school and high school scholastic bowl coach, giving countless hours to practice and tournaments outside the conference schedule to ensure his teams are as well prepared as possible and that students have as many chances to enjoy this extra curricular activity as possible. His high school team won the national championship last year, and he gives all the credit to the students. Time after time, parents tell me he is their favorite teacher, the one who got their kids to love math. Students come back years later to thank him for all he’s done for them. He’s an amazing cheerleader for them all, as well as a great PA announcer for a variety of sports at the high school from soccer to baseball and more. He gives more tone and energy than any teacher I know.
