Mike Smith has been an American Sign Language Teacher and interpreter for 12 years. Throughout his tenure he has taught middle school, high school and college students. Mike lights up every room he enters. He is a teacher who leaves a lasting impact on all who come to know him. He is the most caring and supportive teacher I know. Mr. Smith is a valuable addition to every environment. He shares his message of kindness and positivity with all. His level of empathy and compassion is apparent and he ensures that everyone around him feels acknowledged and appreciated. Students love Mr. Smith for his charm silliness and his genuine concern for others. When he is not teaching interpreting or traveling, he can be found attending school functions to support his students at their concerts, sporting events or school plays. Mr. Smith is selfless, always a reassuring presence and someone who gives back to others. Mr. Smith deserves this cruise for all he has done and continues to do to make the world a better place!
