Mr. Bravata is an exceptional high school history teacher who fosters a spirit of curiosity and emphasizes critical skills. His passion for the subjects he teaches explains the selection by his peers to be teacher of the year and the success of his students on Advanced Placement tests. In Mr. Bravata’s classroom, students feel safe, are challenged to grow academically, and personally, and are treated with respect. He continues that commitment beyond the school year by assisting former students with college applications and job recommendations to ensure they are successful in whatever path in life they choose. When not at work, Mr. Bravata dedicates his spare time as the pedagogical director for the Rendell Center a non-profit civic education center. One of the many responsibilities involved is leading a First Amendment Institute for the National Endowment of the Humanities where he shares his knowledge and skills with teachers across the country.
